Turtle Time Healing
I was born a social worker. It is in my bones.

I'm most fulfilled when engaged with people - bearing witness to their life situations, emotions, and dreams. Sessions feel like relaxed conversations, without pressure or judgment. I listen for meaning within clients' stories, so we may focus on the positive. I play it straight, and don't sugar-coat feedback.

My experience
As a licensed independent clinical social worker, I have worked with a variety of populations and treated clients with major mental illnesses, personality disorders, and addiction issues.

My practice focuses on diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, and individual, family, and group therapy for adolescents and adults. Group therapy sessions include a DBT skills group, as well as anger management, coping skills, and recovery and relapse-prevention programs.

I recently broadened my clinical focus to include helping those who have experienced the illness or death of a pet. The significance of our connections with pets is rarely honored, and whether sudden or expected, there are deep emotions experienced with this type of loss.
